After graduating in 2005, Tamara spent two years at sea treating patients from around the world, while successfully aiding in the creation of an Acupuncture program aboard cruise ships. This elderly population gave her the early experience of treating very chronic illness. Tamara is the sole founder of Wren Acupuncture and while maintaining her private practice for the last 12 years, she has also dedicated several years to her patients in recovery at various drug rehabilitation centers in Los Angeles and Malibu, CA.

Tamara draws upon her extensive studies of holistic medicine to create an individualized treatment for each of her patients. She uses acupuncture, cupping, moxibustion, nutritional therapy, aroma therapy, and functional medical testing to help her patients recover from a variety of different conditions. These include: pain management, arthritis, neck and back pain, gastrointestinal & digestive issues, weight loss, detoxification, stress related disorders (anxiety, depression, insomnia), fatigue, addiction, women's health & fertility, compromised immunity, headaches & migraines, and general well being.

Tamara began her studies on a full athletic scholarship at the University of IL-Chicago with dreams of becoming a western doctor. However, after being introduced to Traditional Chinese Medicine and seeing the great gift that it has been for thousands of people over thousands of years, Tamara decided to switch her focus and study Chinese Medicine. Her technique is gentle and painless while focusing on the healing potential of our mind-body connection. With a history of being a National level gymnast undergoing Olympic training, and having several serious injuries, she has experienced firsthand the positive effects that acupuncture and herbal medicine has. She additionally enjoys hiking, surfing, meditation, yoga, and relaxing in her desert home under the stars. Tamara currently resides in Venice and enjoys spending weekends in Joshua Tree, CA.
